Heard County Food Pantry received three special donations in the month of June, and we are so thankful! The leaders and children at First Baptist Franklin collected jars of peanut butter during their vacation Bible school to support the backpack meal program for the upcoming school year. This peanut butter will be a healthy protein that kids need!

We were also blessed with the building and planting of three raised garden beds by Heard County High School FFA member, Alexandria Lambert and her family. These beds will provide fresh produce that will be distributed to our neighbors weekly as it is harvested.

Finally, we received a large donation of canned goods from Three Rivers Regional Commission Executive Director Mark Butler. His donation also included household goods, like toilet paper, that will surely be a welcome addition to July’s food boxes!

Heard County Food Pantry (HCFP) is a program of Heard County Community Partnership, and as such, all donations are considered a charitable contribution. If you would like more information on ways to support the HCFP, please email Rachel Schory.
